Kamloops—Thompson—Cariboo – Proposed Boundaries

(Population: 111,231)

Consisting of:

  • (a) those parts of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District comprised of:
    • (i) the City of Kamloops;
    • (ii) the villages of Clinton, Sun Peaks Mountain and Chase;
    • (iii) the district municipalities of Clearwater and Barrière;
    • (iv) that part of Subdivision J (Copper Desert Country) lying northerly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the westerly limit of Subdivision J with the Thompson River; thence northeasterly along said river to the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway No. 1); thence generally easterly along said highway to the easterly limit of said subdivision;
    • (v) that part of Subdivision L lying westerly of a line described as follows: commencing at the southernmost point of the limit of the Village of Chase where it intersects the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway No. 1); thence southerly along said highway to its intersection with the limit of Neskonlith Indian Reserve;
    • (vi) that part of Subdivision E (Bonaparte Plateau) Regional District lying easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the southern limit of Subdivision E with the Cariboo Highway (Highway No. 97); thence generally northerly along said highway to the southern limit of the Village of Clinton; thence generally northerly and easterly along the westerly limit of said village to the Cariboo Highway (Highway No. 97); thence generally northerly along said highway to the northerly limit of said subdivision;
    • (vii) subdivisions A, B, O and P;
    • (viii) Neskonlith Indian Reserve and Skeetchestn Indian Reserve; and
  • (b) that part of the Cariboo Regional District comprised of subdivisions H and L.
