North Okanagan—Shuswap – Proposed Boundaries

(Population: 112,399)

Consisting of:

  • (a) the Regional District of North Okanagan, excepting that part of Subdivision B lying westerly of Okanagan (Part) Indian Reserve No. 1; and
  • (b) those parts of the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District comprised of:
    • (i) the City of Salmon Arm;
    • (ii) the District Municipality of Sicamous;
    • (iii) subdivisions E and F;
    • (iv) that part of Subdivision C lying easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the southerly limit of Subdivision C with the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway No. 1); thence generally northerly along said highway to the westerly limit of North Bay Indian Reserve No. 5; thence northerly and easterly along said limit to the intersection of the northernmost limit of said Indian reserve with the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway No. 1); thence northerly and westerly along said highway to an unnamed road located approximately at latitude 50°52'42"N and longitude 119°24'47"W; thence northerly along said road to Durham Road; thence generally northerly along said road and its production to the northerly limit of said subdivision; including North Bay Indian Reserve No. 5;
    • (v) that part of Subdivision D lying easterly of a line described as follows: commencing at the intersection of the northerly limit of Salmon River Indian Reserve No. 1 with Salmon River Road; thence generally northerly along said road to the southerly limit of the City of Salmon Arm;
    • (vi) Okanagan (Part) Indian Reserve No. 1 and Salmon River Indian Reserve No. 1.
