Part II – Amendments to the Initial Report (April 10, 2013) – New Brunswick – Introduction

The Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for the Province of New Brunswick received four objections to its Report. The objections are contained in the Forty-Fourth Report of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, 41st Parliament, First Session. They were transmitted to the federal electoral boundaries commission by the Chief Electoral Officer, Marc Mayrand, on March 26, 2013. The Commission is therefore required by the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act to consider and dispose of these objections, and return its disposition and possible amendments to its Report, by April 24, 2013.

The Commission met on March 28 and carefully considered each of the four objections contained in the Standing Committee's report. The following brief addendum explains the Commission's decisions regarding each of these objections and the amendments necessary to this final Report.
