Halifax, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 — The Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Nova Scotia has cancelled the public hearing that was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Maritime Inn in Port Hawkesbury.
Individuals who had given notice of their intention to make a representation have been advised and will participate in hearings at other venues.
The Nova Scotia Commission is holding public hearings to gather opinions on its proposal for the new federal electoral map that was released on July 12, 2012.
